Have you heard of virtual browsers?

If you have then it is good for you.

If you have not then it is something you should know.

A normal browser is there on your laptop or computer and when you put in a website address you are taken to that particular website.

If the link that you are trying to access is corrupt then it is possible to infect your computer or laptop with viruses.

In order to keep yourself safe from such a thing you can use a virtual browser.

A virtual browser is installed on a machine somewhere else and you are given access to that through your own browser.

If you try to access a link that is malicious it will not affect your system directly.

Since the virtual browser is running on a virtual machine on some server somewhere else, you are completely safe.

Here are some of the virtual browsers you can check out

  1. Browserling
  2. https://www.browserstack.com/virtual-browser

Go ahead and check them out.

They have different pricing options and you can choose whichever you feel comfortable with.

Go ahead and check it out.

I will be updating other virtual browsers if I find them.

In addition to the above virtual browsers, you can also use link checkers to find out if a link is malicious.

If you think that a link is not trustworthy then go to one of the following sites and put the link in there and check if it is trustworthy.

Here are the options for you

  1. https://www.emailveritas.com/url-checker
  2. https://www.psafe.com/dfndr-lab/
  3. https://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com
  4. https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?hl=en

Go ahead and use the above options for your own safety.
